ആദ്യമായി ഒരു ബൊമ്മ തൊടുമ്പോൾ dance ചെയ്യുന്നത് കാണുന്നത് ദൂരദർശനിലെ Sunday ഉച്ചക്കുള്ള സ്‌മൃതിലയം പരിപാടിയിൽ ആണ്. "സീതാ ദേവി സ്വയംവരം ചെയ്തൊരു ത്രേതാ യുഗത്തിലെ ശ്രീരാമൻ " എന്നുള്ള പാട്ടിൽ.

പിന്നെ പപ്പായുടെ ചേട്ടന്റെ showcase ൽ dance ചെയ്യുന്ന തഞ്ചാവൂർ ബൊമ്മ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും തൊട്ടു നോക്കിയിട്ടില്ല..

ഇവിടെ വരെ വന്ന സ്ഥിതിക്ക് തഞ്ചാവൂർ ബൊമ്മകളെ പരിചയപ്പെടാൻ ഇറങ്ങി. ചെന്ന് കയറിയത് സ്വന്തമായി ബൊമ്മകൾ പരമ്പരാഗതമായി ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ബാലുവിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ആണ്.

Starting from 3 inches to 6 feet tall bomma - he makes it all, from the traditional dancing lady to batman, dora and Buddha - he has them all there. I touched and made them all dance! 😎

Spent more than an hour there. Though I was a bit reluctant to ask the working behind it, he was very keen in explaining the process ഒരു മുഷിവും ഇല്ലാതെ. ❤️
